Camille, a 40-year-old woman, is confronted with the echoes of her past, preventing her from finding peace. Through interwoven scenes, the film explores Camille’s adult life and her childhood memories. Today, she appears independent and confident, yet her nervousness and compulsive habits reveal an inner fragility. She tries to escape an emotional void by filling her anxieties.

Flashbacks reveal young Camille — a lively child whose innocence is shattered by a deeply distressing experience. Moments of lighthearted family life gradually give way to a reality in which she feels misunderstood and isolated. The bond with her grandmother, once a safe haven, becomes a source of tension.

In the present, Camille struggles to reconcile her need to appear strong with the repressed memories that resurface. Her relationship with Arnaud highlights her difficulty in truly letting others in. Despite her desire to live a normal life, she cannot escape the shadows of her past.

Origine delicately explores the themes of memory and self-reclamation. Between the buried pain of childhood and the quest for redemption in adulthood, Camille seeks to reclaim her story and free herself from an invisible weight that prevents her from fully flourishing.
