In the heart of Portugal, wildfire left deep scares on the famous valley of Serra da Estrela. The cyclical danger of fire hangs still over the pine and granite landscape like a ghost. Inhabitants show resistance by rebuilding wasteland with their bare hands while others rely on legends to explain the devastating events. In the middle of the post-apocalyptic landscape, the fragile, yet delicate relationship between humans and nature is gradually revealed, oscillating between magic, exploitation and cohabitation.
